Brad Peebler (a celebrity of sorts in the 3d industry) gave a great interview at CG Channel about Luxology, the future of LightWave 3D, and the general future of the 3D industry as a whole. It's a very good read for anyone in the field.
Here's the link to the interview:

thanks a ton for the link, but I won't visit it. Most of the sites use the information to flood you with unwanted mails. If they don't want to disclose it they can start eating their used toilet paper as well - I don't see a reason for conducting an interview with a big shot and then not publishing it - meaning to make it accessible for EVERYONE.
If they would say: To read this article, send US$ 1 via paypal I would do it - if my data wouldn't be disclosed to them.

Hi Jens,
Yeah, I agree. I had purposely not registered with them in the past to view their articles - but I couldn't pass this one up.
The interview will eventually be available on www.luxology.net but I'm not sure when.
Usually when a site like that asks me for registration I create a brief fake e-mail account with a free service like Hotmail. Then I use that e-mail for a one time purpose of activating my 'permission' on their site (they send you an e-mail with a randomly generated password). But, that's often more hassle than it's worth...
