We just had a big storm here on the coast and this has the exact atmosphere! I like it very much!

P.S. I'm not Russian,just Irish-Scot-German, but my husband speaks a bit of it. :-)
Maya,
Thanks for your warm comment.
Looks like the 25-year storm has a current appeal.
Nikolai
PS Where did your husband learn Russian?

Greetings Nikolai, from the storm-tossed Oregon coast!
Yes, these storms are very impressive. "Nature" makes sure you have to notice when throwing 80 mile per hour wind and rain at you! :-)
In answer to your question about my husband's
speaking a bit of Russian--actually, he took the language up while in high school. He used to speak it pretty well, but with lack of others to share it with, is "rusty" at it now. He is a "history buff" and has always been interested in other countries' cultures, art, etc... His parents even visited Russia a few years ago on vacation and enjoyed it.
I love your art and hope to see more of it in these forums!

P.S. I have been told that the name "Maya" is also used in Russia and is pronounced as in the month "May"-ah...as is mine. :-)
They are of Hungarian descent mainly.
A couple of days ago I made a mistake my sending my picture I wanted everyone to see to the wrong place (I think I should start reading instructions more carefully). Forget the picture. I am sending another one.I guess Painter is a really powerful tool for painting water.
What do you say?

Lovely and serene! I'm impressed by your use of the sun's halo effect and the reflections on the water. Beautiful! :-) I love the style you have, that it is unique and doesn't look like anyone else's.

... both your images are stunning!
They would make for some beautiful prints. There is a lot of "little" things happening in your images - lots to look at!
I love it!
