Publish with html extension
Using XDP6, my published website has .htm extension. Can I publish with .html extension?
A customer called to tell me they couldn't find my website, as they had bookmarked the older .html version prior to me creating a new Xara website.
That is a problem as far as established ranking in the search engines. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Your very welcome. Xara makes life easy!
Re: Publish with html extension
When you publish a site, you are asked before the files are published to name your site. When asked for a site name, name your file index.html. All your pages will be published with the .html extension.
Re: Publish with html extension
is it an issue in general then for site ranking to have your site as a .htm rather than .html extension? Or is it only and issue in this case because its an existing rather than new website?
Re: Publish with html extension
The difference between .htm and .html is the same as the difference between .jpg and .jpeg or .tif and .tiff. That is, '1' letter.
Harks back to the DOS 8.3 naming system.
