How to remove pixelization enlarging small image?
Hello!
I have small image and want to place on desktop as wallpaper but when I enlarge it, it is pixelized.
I used linear interpolation at resizing, but helped not.
Is possible by any way to enhance picture to avoid pixelization by exchanging pixel edges with curved lines?
Thank you for your support.

Pixels are a fixed unit. The smaller they are, the less visible they are.
When you enlarge an image, the pixels enlarge as well.
The display softens the pixels by anti-aliasing the image and this is what makes it look soft.
There is some software available that can enlarge an image and maintain some but not all of the sharpness.
One thing you can try is create a bitmap copy at a very high resolution, say 2400dpi. And then see if this enlarges any better.
Re: How to remove pixelization enlarging small image?
you could try an online image enlarger service but if you don't get at least passable results you may need to spend time and money using something like photoshop and/or third party plugins such as :https://www.on1.com/products/resize/...SAAEgIKT_D_BwE
whichever way you do it, don't try to increase it all in one go, increase it in steps - interpolation is a fancy word for guesswork - the less the program has to guess during any one pass the better
you may get better results if you start with an image copy that does not have antialiasing; that said, some sharpening along the way may help if you leave it on; but it depends on the source material so without seeing the image, and knowing by how much you need to resize it, its difficult to say more

And the more obvious answer, start with a larger image. :)

sadly having yesterday watched, [as real life requires me to do else I might not] the BBC live broadcast of the endless brexit proceedings at westminster, I am of the opinion that obvious and achievable can be light-years apart

Get a larger resolution version, or choose another image with better resolution.
Don't waste time doing anything else.

one person's waste of time is another person's quest for the holy grail
I have lost count of the number of things I have learned by persuing things that did not work....

Indeed, but that's not the 'quest' here.

All I said was it was a waste of time enlarging it. A comment made into a saga..
