using gimp2 to cut out background in picture
I have a picture of a tree that I would like to use in a logo...using gimp2. I would like to remove the white background and have only the tree saved so I can drop it into pictures as part of a logo/ photo template ...without a white square in it. should it be saved as a jpeg or something else?
not to graphic savvy so talk slow:D

Hi
welcome to TG
save it as a png file
you need to remove the white first
if you do not know how to do this - have a read of this thread:
