Ray, with scant info here, the usual trick is to run the XDA the once with Administrator privilege.
The next is to check if it bombs while working on the same design file. They can become corrupted.
You could have a HD data or other memory corruption. Usually running MS Windows diagnostics can sort these out.
You might not have enough memory. Close all other application and monitor usage with Task Manager.
What I do not recommend is a re-install. With Magix no longer in play, the opportunities for not being able to re-register are probably heightened. It might also revert you to an earlier version.
Have you still go an XDAv18 still installed? If so does this also crash?
If you are still in Update Service cover, a second download and install to a different location might be possible. If so, then, if it were me, I might risk an uninstall and reload to the original location.
The more information you can advise back, the closer to a good outcome.

Thanks for the response. I discover I still have version 18.5 still installed. I have not tried running it yet. What would be the recommended action? Use it instead? Uninstall it in favor of 19?
Ray, fairy footsteps.
See if XDAv18.5 runs and does not crash.
If it works do not uninstall your XDAv18.5.
Before even considering doing anything, press XDAv19 > Shift+Ctrl+Alt+1 and securely record your Serial Number.
Try entering it at https://rdir.magix.net/?page=E9SN9MNNC199.
You will see a Install program link.
Look at its URL to see if it has 19 in it. If it is 18 then you probably have to install as XDAv18 and hope it then allow an update.
Do not deactivate until you are sure you are still in Update Service cover. Do not just uninstall as then you have to hope Magix will deactivate for you.
You might get a v19 download link from Magix (https://www.magix.com/gb/support/my-service-center/ > My Products [XDA] > Show more details > [XDAv19] > Installation program) then you should be able to use the XDAv19 > Help > Deactivate option first to remove v19 from your machine and re-install afresh. This route lets you see what you have active, on what and the status off your Update Service.
Again, do not do anything until you know it is not your machine.

Okay, thanks again. I will work on it.
