Incomporate WordPress (or other) blog into Webdesigner?
Hi,
A friend of mine would need to be able to maintain himself a blog to be integrated into a web site I designed for him using Webdesigner.
I checked the forums but most people want to incorporate a WebDesigner site into WordPress.
I'm looking exactly for the opposite.
Any way to actually embed a WordPress blog into WebDesigner, stripped from the website design itself?
I guess that on my "Blog" page, I add a placeholder which will encapsulate the WordPress blog.
But do you know if Wordpress is able to generate only :
1- the blog text
2- the date/chronological indexes to navigate between pages?
Any experience? Or any other blog tool?
The goal is that I maintain the site, but my friend is free to update the blog content all by himself without worrying about the website itself? He knows WordPress but nothing else.
I don't want Wordpress to take care of all the aesthetics of a full website, just provide me with the blog text, navigation, and that's it.
Thanks for any help
Steve

Funny, but I was just searching the Talkgraphics site for the same information. I found the following threads that might be of interest to you as well:

Perhaps others have additional and possibly more up-to-date information and/or experience...

Wonderful, I will tell my friend to use such a tool.
It's exactly what I need.
I think that WordPress is a bit too much to just produce stripped out versions of blog.
It's like buying a Mercedes because you just need the cigarette lighter...
