Re: this is what you do with Lorem Ipsum - make a sandwich out of it
Matt, funny enough but it would be more fun if you gave us some news on your XDP update agreement with Magix.
When can we expect an update to XDP 19.0.1 so that it will be more in line with XDP+ 21.9? The last update was in March 2022, not counting the 0.1 update in February that seemed insignificant and for which no release notes were made available: https://xara.kayako.com/.
Edit: Apparently, the +version has just been updated to 23.0 or 23.1.

Favorite sandwich of designers and art directors. Also, in Spanish, Dolor means pain.

The full translation is 'single use plastic hard cheese wrap with no sell by date'.

Boy,
I could not agree more. It looks like Magic is letting the Xara line die and we hear nothing.

Ray, to avoid speculation, TGers with Magix products should contact both Xara & Magix and ask for a definitive answer:
If you scroll through the Xara website, it seems to have totally decoupled from Magix ("our resell partner Magix (who managed domains and hosting)").
https://docs.xara.com/en/?q=magix is also very sparse in reference to Magix.
https://www.xara.com/compare-plusplans/ is implying Magix "Legacy Products" are a "Yearly Upgrade - Simple improvements & fixes".
As outsiders. we can only speculate as to when or if there will be any Magix releases (c.f., https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthr...365#post653365).
Instead, push for an answer.

I appreciate your suggestion, Acorn.
I posted a pertinent question to Matt, Xara's CEO (as far as I know), but he doesn't reply. I expect Magix to duck any such question as well.
I had in my post a link to a joint/partnership page Magix/Xara: https://xara.kayako.com. It might be an older page and possibly the relationship between the two 'partners' has cooled over the years. However, you'd expect Matt to address the issue and shed some light on the whole collaboration and also reach out to Magix to prod them to do the same.

Boy, it's hard to tell if Xara are still using Kayako for mainstream support desk tasks. I doubt it. I got little out of the link other that this counterpoint:
Attachment 133695
https://www.magix.com/fileadmin/user...ground-int.jpg - amusing, selling v19 with v18 imagery and Magix too couldn't be bothered to change the prose.
I just hope that the Xara Magix partnership resolves and is not in a loop of ongoing litigation. If it is then no one wins.

I'm just talking about common decency, Acorn, not legal stuff or whatever.
Matt wants to post funny stuff but this whole Xara-Magix thing needs addressing and we need to be informed. Don't you agree?

Boy, I do agree. I was thinking Matt might want to but not be in a position to.
I reckon I've fallen into my own speculative spiral.
