I am about to start on a website for an artist who is working in mosaics and leaded glass. I suggested that she create a sign for her company and make it look like leaded glass. She was trying to figure out how to actually make the sign. I told her it was a lot easier to do it in Xara (she's a Photoshop/Mac person). ;))
The glass was samples of colored glass I downloaded from the web.
Very Nice! I played around with creating leaded glass once using different kinds of transparencies.

The trick to getting the feeling of the colored glass casting a colored shadow on the page is to create a bitmap copy of the glass, use the Photo Tool > Blur/Sharpen slider to blur the bitmap, then apply Stained Glass transparency. Move the bitmap down and to the side, and adjust the amount of transparency until the glass looks bright.
This colored shadow really makes the illusion of transparency work.
