On page 2 I read this:
"Clone the wider of the top two ellipses. Hold down the Shift key (to select multiple objects) and click on the wider ellipse and the wider of the two blue shapes. Combine Shapes > Add Shapes (Arrange menu)."
Having just made a clone of the wider of the two elipses, am I to now select the oridinal or the clone for the add-shapes move? And I have no idea what "the wider of the two blue shapes" refers to. Could you make this step clearer? Maybe a second arrow pointing to the second thing I'm supposed to select?

Trying to take one day off after working about 30 of the last 31 Deb.
Answer, select either the original or the clone.

What is the other thing I'm to jointly select with either the original or the clone, though? That's the part I'm really hung up on. I cannot figure out what "the wider of the two blue parts" refers to. Like I said, maybe a second arrow pointing to the other thing would help.

I hope I will get the intended effect, because it doesn't look the same as your illustration looks after you do this step. We'll see...

It does get a bit confusing I admit. Sorry. The end results should be worth the effort however.
