XWD designed site importing into Dreamweaver?
I have two questions, really.
If i design a site in XWD can I (or someone else) import the files into Dreamweaver for working on them. I'm wondering if this could be done locally as well as if it could be done via a reverse publishing.
Secondly, how compatible is XWD with database website functions? Which ones have you used? I'm wondering about php and xml formats.
Re: XWD designed site importing into Dreamweaver?
I have done this but I notice that I had to have a text area in the template to add text in Dreamweaver.
I only had Xtreme a few days so I'm still learning.
I was surprised that there was very little CSS. I thought the program would use it more...

I would not recommend using Dreamweaver on the output from Web Designer.

If you need to be able to exchange sites via html, use another technology. You will struggle with XWD it is not designed for round-trip html.
Re: XWD designed site importing into Dreamweaver?
Hello
The biggest problem with this is that any changes that are made in Dreamweaver will obviously not be in you Xara file, so as and when you then make changes to your site design via Xara software when you re-export you will then have to re-open the html in Dreamweaver and make all the changes again.
I would have to agree with Paul on this one
Hope that helps
