I remember seeing this story around the time the increase in salary was first announced. Every once in a while someone does the right thing and it pays off. Great article.

It highlights the ever increasing difference between the rich & the poor that the western society is rapidly moving into. No ones work is worth 300 times more than anothers!

Just to clarify - the article mentions that he put everyone in the company on a minimum salary of $70K. I would think that high level technical staff on $100K+ would have been more than a little upset to have their salary slashed.

That's not a reason not to try and address the disparity between people working multiple jobs just to live while others just watch the money roll in fuelled by other people's misery. We are all hypocrites one way or other in this area.

Just the title alone says a minimum of $70K. I read that as some may earn more, but nobody earns less.

The headline "The boss who put everyone on 70K" can be read the wrong way. The content confirms he put everyone on at least 70K.
