Hello Guy,
I like it very much. Bonus points for the great idea!!!
I like the sky reflection in the hemispheres, but I think I would make the table extend (or roll up a bit) in the back so that you don't actually see any sky except in the reflections.
Really cool, Guy
Thanks for sharing!
James
Good work Guy, however I don't know if it's just me because I don't understand the spherical objects, and the lower right shadow does not connect up properly to it's casting object. :o
These are the lids on the glass containers.
You're right Larry. I didn't notice. The shadows are completely Blender, I will have a look at it and see how I can change (right now, I don't have a clue...)
@James - thanks for the comments - I'll try the roll-up, but I'm not sure it will work with the wood-texture
Hello Guy,
You're welcome!
The roll-up would be way in the background and only needs to be slight...so will probably work, even though it's textured.
Peace
James
Thanks for the explanation Guy, a simple reply from me is Oh! Don't you just hate it when someone else just doesn't see it, which, I still don't. If I might make a suggestion though, would it be clearer to the viewer if a hole were cut in the spherical objects, sort of like a slurpee lid.
You guys are just awesome in what you are doing with Blender. I just hope that if I keep working I too will get close (but may not ever equal). Right now I have other irons in the fire so can't devote any time to it.
Made a few "adjustments"
- resized the table, and added a bit of bump
- reduced the size of the coffee-beans to bring them more in proportion I think
- made the foam a bit fluffier

Guyke, did you try rendering this scene in Blender Cycles. I bet you'd see a good improvement with very low effort.
Cycles did make the difference on how much I enjoy using Blender in the last months.
