I am one of those that really like Xara Webstyle and the easy and efficient way to manage menus . I am now working on a new site where we need special buttoms, but still want to use webstyle to manage menus/submenues.
I first created a main menu in Xara X - then a menu in Webstyle, using a regular template, where the size of each bottoms was the same as created in XaraX. I then saved the Webstyle menu locally. Then each of the buttoms was replaced with those created in XaraX. I then published the files. When I later need to manage the menu - I only need to publish the scriptfiles or new graphics. Webstyle will only affect the graphics locally, not on the remote site.
Here is a first "beta" of the menu/site, without any active links:

after about 30 seconds. How long does the page take to load?
Anyway, your idea is a good one.

For me, 23.12 seconds on a dial up connection :-)
I noticed the mention of Stavanger, I had a college roomate and friend from that city many years ago.

Hmmm- I cleaned my cache and it took about 8 seconds to load - but I am perhaps a bit closer to the server - I have a dial up 64 kbits ISDN.
There is a flashfile on the top - but that one should load fast too. I use MSIE 6.0.2800. Flashplayer is updated.
My experience is that Webstyle menus loads fast nd is very compatible in Norway. One of the sites I have created have bee visited by approx 15000 since january - and I have not heard complains about the menu - in fact only positive.
Each gif in the menu is about 1 - 1.5 kb.

His name: Gunner Ericksen. His parents were missionaries in Kenya. This was back in 1966-68.

Joel - I was a bit courious - thought I probably could knew him - but I don´t.
There is a "missionare college" in Stavanger. I work in Stavanger in a company that organize about 8000 apartments in the city. The first area we built about 55 years ago is neighbours to this college - and this urban area was called "the Mission Field". There is a joke about the children that grew up here - they run out in Stavanger and collected money for the poor children on the mission field.
