Re: Line drawing - a face
I love the bottom image. It would be an awesome starter on a blog skin. Kind of retro fifties.
Re: Line drawing - a face
Bob Bob Bob..... that AGAIN is beautiful!!!! Excellently done! (At first I didn't think you'd post the drawing, just the outline, and we'd have to guess how it might look - so I was trying... didn't work! hahahaha)
You are truly a master at your craft! :)
Re: Line drawing - a face
Bob, thanks for posting the outline view; very helpful in understanding the process which came out quite lovely. I have to ask what may seem a trivial question in comparison to the end product....how do you do your signature on the piece and get such natural looking personal handwriting?

Re: Line drawing - a face
Very well done Bob. Using lines to create a face is a unique approach :)
I look forward to seeing the entire drawing.
Re: Line drawing - a face
Bob,
You own it. Very nice as always. You're great at caracatures.

It was done with the aid of a Wacom drawing tablet - wasn't done by mouse. Used the Freehand and Brush Tool. "Ellipse" stroke shape for the lines. Adjusted the 'freehand smoothing' til it met my needs and signed my name. It may take more than one try to get the signature you're pleased with, but that's how it is done.
Thanks for the comments! :)

Re: Line drawing - a face
An alternative would be to scan the signature separately.
Re: Line drawing - a face
The rendered version has such a lively and live feel to it. And her eyes really twinkle. Great job, Bob!
