Is there a method to give a line a "squiggly" looking variable width? Somewhat like the "Intestine" pressure profile, but as you can see in this drawing,
the number of undulations per shape is fixed, so for larger shapes, it's a very gradual change in thickness.
I'd like to be able to apply this squiggly profile to already-drawn shapes, rectanges, etc. so just drawing a pressure-sensitive line isn't optimal.
Has anyone discovered tricks for doing this over the years?
Thanks,
Jesse

How about this cheat? Not a line I know and probably only good for circular shapes.

I've created a brush that acts in a similar manner. Of course with brushes you need to adjust the spacing to make a smooth transition where the lines join.

Very cool way of doing that you showed in the video Egg.
I was wondering about making a brush to do that but I see you did. :star:star:D

Thanks for taking the time for such detailed replies, Egg.
The custom brush technique with gaps to absorb spacing differences is clever - I like it a lot.

Re: Undulating Line Width
Thanks peeps. I prefer the quick shape method but as stated it only works on circles.
The brush is much like the intestine stroke, but with this stroke you can't adjust the spacing, with the brush you can.

You could also have a shot at using the 2nd bottom brush in the righthand dropdown as it nearly works as well.

Just wanted to chime in and cheer Egg for his interesting brush. Cool stuff!
