automating number generation, script?

I needing to produce a couple of posters with a large block of numbers, 1-300.

The poster will be used in a reverse drawing so that individual numbers can be marked out with a marker when they are drawn from a "hat".

I've never used a script, but wondered if this would be a good application for one. Thought there might already be one written that could be tweaked for this application. I had planned to use artistic text for the numbers, but guess paragraph might work.

I had also considered using OLE with a spreadsheet.
