Xara 8: Guides look like normal lines
In one of the documents that I created with Xara Pro 8, the guides are shown as normal lines. They are not the usual red dotted lines anymore. And in fact the whole guides layer visually behaves like a normal layer. Objects that I draw on it can be assigned for example a fill.
The guides still work for snapping. Still, the look bothers me, especially since guides get thicker when zooming in (just like normal lines).
How do I get back the standard guides look?

Yes, the name Guides is red in the Page & Layer Gallery.

thanks - any chance you can post a XAR file that shows this
which ver 8 program are you using?

This problem has been reported before but the cause has not yet been tracked down. Try cutting the guides layer (right click in the P+L gallery) and then pasting it back (you need to select and right click on another layer in the P+L gallery). You should do this to all affected pages in your document.

Thanks, Gerry, this worked. Interestingly, before cutting and pasting the layer, I had the same guides on all pages. Now the guides are different on each page, and I prefer that.
