TCA Flight 810
This was done for a book by Rien Van Tilborg on TCA Flight 810 from Vancouver to Calgary in December 1956. The plane left Vancouver in bad weather flying to Calgary. They had a warning light indicating a fire on port inboard engine. The pilot shut the engine down and tried to return to Vancouver. Losing altitude and off course the plane slammed into a mountain top killing all on board. Canada's worst air accident up to that time. The terrain was too rough to remove any of the bodies and is now off limits to hikers.
The illustratin shows the plane with one engine out struggling to get back to Vancouver through the mountains. A very sad story for all involved.

That's beautiful, Gray, but what a sad story.

Beautiful rendering Gray.
Indeed tragic story, it reminds me of a show we used to watch. I think it was called mayday.
It was reenactments of plane malfunctions and how they changed flying regulations afterward.
