Flash in Pro - how to copy named objects to new frame
Hi - I would appreciate the help of an experience Xara Flash guru for this problem. I'm trying to create a flash with multiple frames. I create frame 1 with several objects and name them. I copy the frame and do some editing and copy frame 2 to make frame 3. Whoops, just realized I need to add an object in frame 1. My question - how do I make these changes propagate forward into frames 2 and 3? Copy and paste of the new object doesn't do it. Do I have to delete 2 and 3 and start again?
Thanks

Hi DocRock,

I can't understand this. Copy and pasting is fine provided you've named the shape in Layer1 and pasted this named shape into subsequent frames. Perhaps I've got the wrong end of the stick?

Right - there are some extra steps to take aside from cut/paste but I got it to work. I discovered you have to apply a name to the pasted object on the new frame to make it tween properly.
Can't find anything in the Pro 4 help files on these details. I would love the developers to add more to the flash help file on this activity which I'm sure happens frequently. After all, we are not flash programmers and don't want to be. We really ned Xara to be the tool for html-savvy/flash-not so savvy developer.
Thanks
