Hi folks,

Hi Ed I haven't been able to repeat that error. Can you give the steps you go through when the error happens? Does it happen with any other plug ins? does it happen with a specific filter or all filters? It's definitely a Xara error message not a filter forge one.
I have not seen that one either.
Essentially, I set up the plugin folder in Xara, type in some text on a new page.....select the text and then click 'new' and Filterforge3 in the dropdown and I get the error.....nothing fancy really.....this is running 32bit XDPX9.
Sorry I've been way too long in getting back to this. Ed have you tried running the program as administrator? That some times can fix a lot of things. I'm still unable to replicate the error so if running it as admin doesn't fix it I'd suggest opening a ticket with Xara support.
Edit: I've just thought of one more possibility did you use the setup button to add the filter forge plugin folder to the list of where Xara looks for plugins? If so make sure that the path is correct c:/program files(x86)/Filter Forge 3/Plugin/ and make sure that enable host specific plugins is checked.
Hi Frances,
I did use the setup button to install the plugin and tried running with administrator....didn't work but maybe I found out why....
Processor: Unknown MMX SSE SSE2 (6.3a.9)
This was in the error log so I've sent a ticket off to Xara.
It's funny, I couldn't run the magic eraser tool because my PC was too old, now I can't run a plugin because my computer is too new.....surely there must be a balance there somewhere.....doh!
Thanks Ed for letting me know anyway. Please let us know here if you get a solution from Xara support as it could possibly help others :)
That I will Frances...
One thing I noticed was this also happens on the same machine with XDPX. I tried this on my slower 32 bit machine and it worked fine. I'm thinking this is machine specific so I hope Xara will fix the SSE2 problem as it likely affects many other machines as well
Does this affect any other plugins?
