Obama's typeface
It's not every President who has their own typeface, with a full assortment of fonts. But during Obama's first campaign, someone sure was taking care of business on the graphic-identity side: Gotham!

President Obama's first campaign was a good lesson in "branding". The simple clean design of the Obama O logo, the posterized art, as you point out the distinct typeface, the message was all part of the branding as if Mr. Obama was a product, which in effect he was marketed as such.
