Serious error viewing colour gallery
(Dear Xara can you fix this?)
Not sure if anyone will be interested, as I am using an older (unsupported) version of Photo & Graphic Designer (16.1.1.56358 DL x64 Mar 13 2019), but I have found a serious repeatable error that causes the program to crash.
1. create a new document
2. import a bitmap
3. create a pallet from the bitmap
4. open the colour gallery
5. serious error
Note how the colour gallery on the right gets stuck and does not fully slide out. The option to 'Quit' does not work and you have to force the program to close by other means.

Thanks, Jono

It is an option in the PhotoTool fly-out.
Re: Serious error viewing colour gallery
OK. I just tried this in Photo & Graphic Designer 16.2 and no problems.
But, the feature does not work (for me at least) in Designer Pro X-17
Re: Serious error viewing colour gallery
thanks gary, I'm still using designer pro ver 15 for work which does not have this - got a p&G 16 on the laptop can look at it there
Re: Serious error viewing colour gallery
checked with Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 16.3.0.57723 DL x64 Oct 25 2019 - can't see a problem
could be it is only with ver 16.1 ?

Can't replicate that Jon. Does it happen after a reboot?

Or if you create a new file? Often something can corrupt a file and cause off things to happen.

Re: Serious error viewing colour gallery
Thanks all, for the suggestions. After rebooting I still get the error (albeit a slightly different code from before) and it still happens with a new doc.
To be honest I'm not going to loose too much sleep over this problem now, especially if it works ok with later versions.
Just an additional point of interest, after another attempt (and error), then pressing quit, it did eventually prompt me to send an error report. Unfortunately pressing send button resulted in another message saying I'm not connected to the internet (which I definitely was).

If anyone from Xara wants to view a copy of the error report I can email a copy on to them.
Re: Serious error viewing colour gallery
I did send a heads up to Xara to check out this thread so you may hear from them here asking for more details.
