Ellipse tool producing circle by default

When I use the ellipse tool, by default it produces a circle rather than an ellipse. Clicking on a control point enables an ellipse to be made but I'm not sure why this behaviour is different from that of the more usual ellipse creation by default. I can't see an option to change the default behaviour from ellipse to circle creation. Can anyone advise how to get the behaviour back to the more usual ellipse creation default behaviour?

Make sure the setting is on "Bounds Creation" :)

You're welcome :) Hold down CTRL while dragging to make it a circle.
