General Motors/ Fisher P-75
Can this guy draw anything besides planes????
A mish mash of several planes including the Mustang, Douglas A24, Airacobra, Corsair, Warhawk and powered by a V-3420-19 24-cylinder engine rated at 2,600 hp, located midships with contra-rotating props, the XP-75 flew for the first time in 1943. Six long-range XP-75s were being flown by 1944. Designed as a long range fighter. The design just didn't work out
Re: General Motors/ Fisher P-75
When you can create planes like this, why bother with anything else.
I always love the dull texture you get for the metal. It adds so much more photographic realism to the images.
Re: General Motors/ Fisher P-75
Once again something excellent, I wish I had your talent!!!!=D>
Re: General Motors/ Fisher P-75
Thanks for leaving a comment Gary, Joe. They were an ungainly design but nevertheless worth a drawing.
Re: General Motors/ Fisher P-75
As usual I love it. Great work Gray.

Re: General Motors/ Fisher P-75
I dunno why, but I like this one best out of the other great planes you've done, Gray. Maybe influenced by Gary's comment about the texture. It is superb.
Re: General Motors/ Fisher P-75
Thanks, appreciate the kind words, Mike.
Re: General Motors/ Fisher P-75
Nice rendering Gray, love the clouds !
I imagine the engine in the middle of the plane would make for weird handling.

They had a few problems, Marc. Center of mass was one of them.
