What is supposed to happen? I click on the magnifying glas but nothing seems to get bigger
Hi guys
As I thought - the magnifier doesn't work in the forum:mad:
What happens in my browser is the flash fills the whole screen.
If you want to test it you need the .swf file and html code in
the same folder. Then just view it as you would any other flash.
I tested this magnifier and it works in IE and Netscape.
Could someone let me know if it works in Firefox and Opera?
I don't have them installed on my computer.:(
The magnify.swf and html files have to be in the same folder.
Attached is some html code.
Thanks
Well, I'm guessing here that the magic of this operation is that when you click the link, your brower loads the same swf file it's already viewing. Since the flash plugin ignores the flash's internal size and displays it the full size of the window, I would imagine that this works identically in all browsers.
Right Odat
As you can see in the .xar file I supplied, if you create a button (in this case a magnifier) right click on it; web address; sameflashname.swf; same frame as the document(_self) and view it in a browser, it will fill the whole screen with the flash! What I like about this idea is it is much less work than creating a larger swf, less kb, no back buttons, because you use back on browser, and it creates a nice fit for the webpage:rolleyes:
If someone who has firefox and opera could click on the link I created
then we would all know if it works in most if not all browsers.

Thanks I appreciate your help!
Yes it works in Firefox it only magifies once though in other words it makes the word magnify again, nothing else.

Hi Norman
(1)You mean you dont get the flash outline and the magnifier?
You only see the words magnify?
(2)Or do you mean clicking the magnifier again doesn't increase it again?
I noticed #2 in IE and Netscape.
But if you want to increase it again you can right click - zoom.:D
Just for the zoom
