Do not open or reply to this Thread - Hover instead
Rob-Xar posted a downtime event for 22/23 January. His Thread is still getting hits.
- Should time-expired Threads simply be deleted?
- Should the Title for such Threads be required to have a do not read after expiry date?
- How many Bots are there out there?
- Will this Thread only be hovered or will the temptation to click be too much?
Acorn :p
Re: Do not open or reply to this Thread - Hover instead
let me be the first to succumb...
threads should not be deleted; they are an archive, be their purpose time-expired or not
no one will take any notice of a do not read
who knows, probably not even google...
the answer is implicit in this post

Acorn - Most of the bot activity we are seeing is from Ukraine, one specific outfit I think. Once or twice these jokers managed to post in every forum.
Not these mostly get stuck in moderation before they are seen and it is my great fortune when I have the opportunity to send one of these to Spamlandia.
We did have one post this morning in a very old free clipart thread. The new member who posted is banished and I closed the thread.
It would be a good idea to close old threads, especially some posts that are no longer relevant. But TalkGraphics is 20 years old or thereabouts and I don't think any of the moderators are going to volunteer to go back through all those old threads and close them.
