I have just downloaded all the Xara online manuals. I supposed they'd be in PDF format but when I unzipped them they were HTML.
This is fine but how do I view them properly? I opened index.html only to find that none of the links or graphics work.
This is probably a very dumb question, but—as I said—I am a newbie!
Thanks in advance. J

Did you unzip the files with the "Use Folder Names" option? If you don't do that you will get a bundle of HTML and images files in one directory, whereas they are all supposed to be in different directories.
Open the ZIP file in WinZip and then select Extract. Put a checkmark next to "Use Folder Names". That should do it.
Cheers,
Nick Wilkinson.

I publish the sites from NetObjects Fusion using the Flat file structure with no sub directories. So dragging the Index.htm file to your browser or double clicking on the file should do the trick.

Have you heard anything about buyers for the company? I'd hate to see NetObjects go down the tube

There have been several offers for the company but none have been accepted.
I think the product is too good to die and I can only hope whoever buys NetObjects has the sense to not "improve" it too much. The problem was not with Fusion as much as it was with the way the company was managed.
Any interest at Xara?

I agree Gary, it _is_ an excellent product, one of the few that allows designers to do what they do best, design.
I started using fusion very early on in its life and still dabble with it now and then even though i'm a dreamweaver lover these days.
talking of that kind of thing, is there any support for a gui-style html forum here, there seems to be a fair few who would be able to join it. just a thought..

are those that don't get asked :-)
Glad we could help.
A lot of folks have requested I create the tutorials in PDF format. Maybe someday when I am retired.
