Robotic Arm
This arm was designed in Xara and all the profiles exported as *.AI to be merged in C4D. Then extruded. A bone strucuture was added (and this was more tricky than I could expect) to perform the animation. Xara is great to produce profiles/splines, but sometimes you need to increase the number of points defining that spline to get a really smooth object.

Re: Robotic Arm
Good work!
If you needs to enhance the number of points often, perhaps the following tip is useful for you:
How to easily increase the number of points of a Shape
- Clone your Shape
- Select both Shapes (the new one and the original)
- Choose Menu "Arrange" -> "Combine Shapes" -> "Add Shapes"

Re: Robotic Arm
Very cool work, Emel.
Great 2d post render work. Adds greatly to the cool factor. Or is it really just an actual screengrab of the C4D workspace?

Re: Robotic Arm
Thank you all for comments and sugestions. Remi, thanks for the tip.
Grafixman, it's just a grab with a Photoshop overlay of cel render over.

Re: Robotic Arm
I like it. Interesting how you started with Xara first. I often find myself wishing I could do just that.
P.S. I like the chopper as well. Looking forward to the animation.
