convert? compress? .bmp file for better quality picture
Have a home security surveillance camera system that saves video pictures in .bmp files. When I review them in Paint Shop Pro v. 7. I need to be able to view the picture in better quality because the pixels make it a blocky picture. Do I compress the file & how or convert the file to another format? For example I would need to see a license number plate on a car. The numbers and letters are blocky in the .bmp format. How would I be able to see them if it is possible to view the picture better. Thanks in advance.

Thing is, you can't. If you have a badly unclear picture you really can't zoom in and sharpen it up like you are focusing a camera. You need to get your system to take clearer pictures. To use an old phrase, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
