Vector Checkered Background
Thank you in advance for any help that can be given. I currently have Xara Photo and Graphic Designer and I am considering upgrading the pro version. My main question is that when I need to use a vector image that has the checkered background. Can or how do I get rid of it using Xara software.
If there is an area in the help section, please direct me to that portion. Sometime knowing the correct wording. Would appreciate any help.

Re: Vector Checkered Background
Welcome to TalkGraphics
The gray checkered background indicates that there is no background vs a solid background. A vector shape does not have a background. So, if you want to export the vector shape as a PNG True Color + Alpha then the selection will export with a transparency background.
The attached image shows the checkered background which means the image background is transparent.
Does this make sense?
Re: Vector Checkered Background
it is also possible you have copied and pasted a browser rendering of the image thinking it would all just happen.

Xara imports this as a group of shapes, no checkerboard.
