Gary, they're cropped as you are in multi page view.

I'm talking about these handles, Acorn. They are gone.
I see what they have done and it will take a little getting used to.
Gary, there have been many Posts around restoring the old style handles.
The same handles are there in Magix v18 but hug the shape too tightly.
The new handles do work though.
In your screenshot, the six horizontal controls are not missing but hidden as they extend off the page and you are showing adjacent pages.
You would have the same with the old controls.

is it possible gary that you had modified the registry key ShowXCBoundsBlobs to 0 and the update has reset it to 1 [default] - that would also explain no button on the far left of the infobar, if that is what you are missing
No, what I am missing is the bounding box square handles that have been part of the selection process at least until I started using the product in 1996. And then later modified to allow for rotation, skewing, as well as resizing.
As I stated above I will have to adapt to the new "smart" handles.
Here is the same problem. I istalled the update and the selection bound handles are gone.
An update of my Xara registry settings I play in, but nothing changes.
This is missing:

The offset between the bounds of the selection and the handles is restored to how it used to be a few major revisions ago. No handles are missing.
The offset means they might be clipped out of view in some cases but this is how things always used to be and the solutions are exactly as before and should be familiar: Change zoom factor, turn off multi-page view, scroll the document.
There is no need for the bounds handles button in the Selector Tool infobar because the new bounds handles are always shown in the Selector Tool. This has been the default in the Plus products for several years now.
Please see the release notes for more information.
