How do I stop the reminder for me to update?
I have Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 15.1.0.53605 DL x64 May 7 2018 and every single time I start it, I get a message telling me :
Update Service period expired
Your Update Service period expired on 7 May 2019, so you no longer
have access to program updates or online services.
[ OK ] [Upgrade]
How do I prevent this reminder showing every time I start the program?
TIA

try following the link for upgrade, but only going so far as downloading the file...
turn off all info popups in xara

No. Sadly, that doesn't work. I went all the way through to just before pressing the [Confirm payment] button. Twice. Once with Xara open and once with it closed.
Still the same message.

(That's a bit of a sledgehammer approach isn't it? )
No. That doesn't work either. The message still appears on every single start.
I've been somewhat distracted (understatement) since I first saw the message and haven't been using Xara much. Now that I'm coming back to using Xara regularly, the message is becoming an increasing nuisance.
It's not so much the message itself, it's the [deleted] arrogance of the approach: "If you don't pay up, we'll keep irritating you until you do."

you are not alone in that view and Xara have been made well aware of it here - it is magix who do this of course...

And if anything was more calculated to get me searching for hacked copies or keygens, I can't think of it.

Don't go there - therein madness lies!

you could try blocking it in a firewall, unless you need continual web access

Thanks. I never thought of that.
I created an Outbound rule based on PhotoGraphicDesigner.exe and that appears to work. No more message repeatedly touting the update service.
Bonus: it also blocks the "Would you like [insert name of other program I don't want]?" pop-ups.
In Xara, going Help | Check for updates, it now comes back with "You need to be online to use this feature."
Thank you again. :)

I have done this also for Designer Pro 16.2 and it worked there as well.
I am just hoping that Designer Pro does not need not phone home on a monthly basis in order to validate the licence.
