Need Some Advice
I am very new to this site, and have spent a few hours just looking around. I need to know what program I need to use for certain tasks.
A group of others and I are creating an MMO, and I am somewhat in charge of graphics. This includes all of the 2D sprites and especially the 3D Objects and Items. I also will need to create the game characters.
So, which program would be best for 3D Model Making?
Alternatively I could use somebody who already knows how to use a 3D Graphics program.

Which game engine are you using?

Re: Need Some Advice
The person in charge of programming doesn't see the need for one yet. This hopefully is soon to change.

Re: Need Some Advice
Are there by any chance any Blender tutorials on these forums?

Re: Need Some Advice
No Blender tutorials here, as far as I know, but googling "blender tutorials" bears fruit. Here are the ones on the Blender website. There are others at youtube.

Bob.

Re: Need Some Advice
Another free 3D program to try is Truespace 7.61

Download the Manual and the Video tutorials as well as the full installation files. A total of 306 MB so I hope you have a fast connection. ;):)

Re: Need Some Advice
Just for your information -
The industry standard package for games 3d artwork is 3dstudio max.
If you use a freelancer to make the 3d models for you, it's likely they'll work with that.
