Youtube in a Placeholder-No Regeneration then Crash
Hello all, I'm having an issue with embedded YT videos. My process is this:
Create a placeholder (rectangle with the Shape tool).
Right Click>Web Properties>Placeholder tab
Click HTML Code (Body)
Paste in the embed code I got from the YT video
OK.
Placeholder is black, program happy.
Back to the placeholder edit screen and tick the "regenerate placeholder image automatically" box.
The Windows wheel spins and spins and spins, and at the bottom of the XWD screen I see the "Generating HTML Preview Image" message.
After around 30 seconds, the program shuts down.
If I don't tick that Regenerate box, and then do a page preview, the YT eventually appears in the placeholder. I just can't see it on the edit screen.
The odd thing is that I inserted a few YT videos into a page yesterday without issue (they all have "regenerate" ticked), but today, I can't do it.
This is annoying because I can't see what's in the placeholder.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Edit: I've just edited the embed HTML on one of the placeholders from yesterday and now I can't OK out either; the same Generating HTML Preview Image message at the bottom and eventually the program crashes.

Example web file attached.
Re: Youtube in a Placeholder-No Regeneration then Crash
Well, the example worked fine for me. I ticked the Re-Generate Image option, and other than taking a second to have a think, it also worked correctly.
Do you have something else on the page that may be affecting the placeholder?
Re: Youtube in a Placeholder-No Regeneration then Crash
Thanks Chris, no, nothing else on the page at all. I wonder if it is an issue with Version 18.

This is where we part company...I don't have access to v18.
For someone else to ponder, IE dependency maybe?

Vortilon, I got the same issue with v18 but not XPro+.
If instead, I previewed first then selected Re-generate, it worked.

I tried too with v18 and keeps crashing no mater what Acorn said about the way to do it, before or after hitting preview. Crashed both ways. @Acorn is there any note that XARA fixed this in their bug report?
Re: Youtube in a Placeholder-No Regeneration then Crash
As for behzad, previewing doesn't make any diff, still crashes.
Acorn/Mod, I was remiss in not including my version number in the title of the thread; could you add V18 to the title for me (if it helps, that is)?

@Vortilon, it doesn't matter. others may check against different versions.
All I know is that i can get the Placeholder image.
I did also play around with fitting the Placeholder to the page but it worked both ways.
