The Photostrator Projekt - Digital bokeh effect
Can you achieve this effect using Xara?
I confess I have run out of steam. I have not been able to reproduce this effect. Can you?

BF, far to many variables to play with to set up an initial round object for a brush.
I dare say after a lot of experimenting I could mange three brushes and get a little closer:

You can use Dmitry Malutin's SPRAY to create this effect, well - at least get you started :)

Here's my try at the Photostrator Projekt - Digital bokeh effect.
I did that same tutorial in Photoshop.

As I suspected, this challenge is proving to be a real challenge for a change. Well, I won't throw in the towel just yet and I'll have a another go shortly.
Dammit - can't be beaten by the Photostrator!!

Well, I was wrong, sorta. The one I did was done with cubes. Same technique, different image.Attachment 98386

Looks good anyway coldwetnoz.
Re: The Photostrator Projekt - Digital bokeh effect
It sure does look good - you can see that the opacity and transparency effects in Photoshop are vastly superior (I think) to those in Xara. :thx

Re: The Photostrator Projekt - Digital bokeh effect
OK, here's my effort to reproduce their design:
As you can see, with Xara I was unable to give the circles the same range of luminosity the Photostrator person gave his. This is the advantage of the huge range of native filters available in their product.
But I'm not unhappy with my effort, but neither am I entirely satisfied. I believe Photostrator defeated Xara on this occasion unless somebody comes up with a better attempt.
