Well normally I don't read those forum threads that debate which application is better, but this one was rather amusing. It's been going on for a while now on NewTek's forums, and even some of the NewTek staff have gotten involved. If you want a good laugh, go check it out.

Oh, come on Earl--
You mean you've never tried out Notepad's smooth even spacing between characters (a must with 3D flying logos), the stark yet functional U-I, and how Notepad auto arranges screen colors when your machine crashes?
BTW, Microsoft, I understand, is adding photon tracing, which is the nearest tolerance you can get to atoms.
NewTek should do its home work.

Oh I can't agree more Gary. This is one application war that LightWave just doesn't stand a chance...
Here's a clip from one of the posters on that forum:
---
During a crunch I once had 56 respective notepads running simultaneously on my desktop. Even with this virtual regiment of notepads neatly arranged across my dual 21 " monitors, my system did not so much as hiccup. Conversely, after I started my 42nd respective Lightwave application, my workstation started to whimper and spew green sparks. Thanks Newtek but I like my fireworks on the fourth. I'm naming my firstborn Notepad.

LOL, I can't get over some of the things these people are coming up with.

The debate goes on:
Earl--
Notepad versus Lightwave is only a fraction of the issue here. We can open this "field of superiority" debate/competition/childishness wide open without so much as a thought for the feelings of others.
Lemme continue:
-Dell is superior to Gateway.
-HP is better than Dell.
-Apple is better than Apple.
-The Beatles were better than the Monkees.
-CorelDRAW sucks when compared to an unsharpened Ticonderoga pencil.
-XARA sucks when compared to the navigation system on a stealth bomber.
-Coke is better than Pepsi.
-Dockers are better than Levi's 501 jeans.
-Mars is better than Venus.
-Blue is better than green.
-I had better stop this now because some of you know where I live.

Oxygen is better than anything....top that one..

Stu--
Oxygen might be "better" because it is a necessary thing (like Doritos and Nike sneakers), but if you try nitrous oxide, you might suffocate without oxygen, but you'd do it laughing all the way...

...and the Chrysler PT Cruiser (especially in maroon) is better than a silver Volkswagen beetle.
*whew* ...wot a list to maintain!
