Transparent image over full width header?
Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help me.
I am trying to put a transparent image over a full-width stretchy header and am having an issue where it looks like this:

If anyone has any advice they can offer that would be much appreciated. :) Thanks!

I think I got this from Chris M. a while back that helped me with the same type of problem.
1. Highlight/click on the image
2. Right click and select 'Web Properties' all the way down on the bottom
3. in the 'Web Properties' window select the 'Image Tab'
4. Midway down under 'Web Image Type'... select 'PNG' (Best for graphics)
5. of course... click 'Apply'
That should do it...

Welcome to TalkGraphics
If you just want the text to show over the header, add the text if you have a text or a vector image. Xara will automatically create the transparency.
If you have a newer version of Designer Pro X and you have a bitmap you want to make transparent, then place the bitmap over the image.
Select the bitmap with the Photo Tool. On the Infobar at the top of the screen, click on the part of the image you wish to make transparent with the Select Colors to Enhance tool. Adjust the Tolerance and Fade sliders. Right click on the dot with the arrows and select Make Transparent. This works really well with solid areas of color.
Once you are happy with the result, switch to the Selector Tool, go to the Arrange menu and select Flatten Photo Group.
