Web page with an embedded Flash animation which has its own control buttons

This if my first attempt a creating a flash animation which can control its sequencing via control buttons. I was trying to immitate the contol bar of a media player.

I am probably overlooking something obvious, the is there away to have an overlay that effects all frames. With this flash animation, I wound up copying the silver frame around the control button to all the frames.

I'll attach the .web file used to make the flash file for anyone wants to play with it.
