You have it hidden in CLIPVIEW - turn it off.

well spotted spamiky
in passing I don't think the gallery structure looks right:
Attachment 134019
'imported layer 1' is shown by xara as a layer, but is nested within 'layer 1'; xara does not do nested layers [more's the pity]
the icon shown is a layer icon and if you drag it up to top level, no way can you drag it back down - so something else has gone on here I would say - it might be prudent to move that layer to where it should be, in case it causes problems, although what effect that would have on the file I can't say...

gobigtime, no way should your file be 14MB. You need to optimise your images.
Your nesting of Groups within groups is a train crash that has happened. At some point you clipped a group then kept on nesting and grouping.
This nesting has managed to nest a Layer within another and I have found it impossible to unpick anything as the XDA repeatedly errors.
Try this:
- Create a new Layer - Layer2.
- In Page & Layer Gallery, expand layer 1 > Clipped group.
- Drag Imported Layer 1 to just above Layer 1 and release.
You should now have Imported Layer 1 separate from Layer 1.
Now, for Layer 1:
- Pick Solo Mode.
- Select Clipped group and press Alt+Q (Remove ClipView).
- Select all.
- Press Ctrl+U (Ungroup) repeatedly until there are no groups left (211 object).
- Exit Solo Mode.
- Pick Hide and Lock Layer 1.
Now, for Imported Layer 1:
- Pick Solo Mode (not really needed).
- Select Clipped group and press Alt+Q (Remove ClipView).
You will need to do the same for the 'object' layer.
You will still be stuck with an incorrect Mask layer and a Guides layer.
You will then be able to recover around 2,000 objects to a new design page. This loses the incorrect Mask and Guides layers.
I ungrouped everything I could as I felt your grouping was also skewed.
I optimised images to 192dpi to fit my rework into something TG can support.

You make also find issues with Shadow Groups.
Again remove these and you make be in a position to rebuild.
I cannot work out what you are trying to make.
Take a breath and in simple terms explain what you want to do and who this file is aimed at.
If it for printing then you should create one master shape for reuse (the blackboard) - Live Copies will do this for you. Again, this will dramatically cut down the file size.
If you are setting up lots of flash cards then you need the the blackboard on a base layer then duster, chalks, novelty item, calculation, obverse solution, ... also as layers.
