Define civil (with the obvious exception of real abuse). Sometimes, discussions get heated, but shouldn't be classified as "uncivil."

As in polite, courteous--a positive sincere consideration of others that springs from inherent thoughtfulness. Civil implies merely refraining from rudeness. Rudeness--a deliberate lack of consideration for others' feelings, a disregard of even the most elementary of good manners, ("dissing" as some may know the term, or "name-calling"), personal attacks, slander.
