Can anyone name this font, please.
Hi, Not sure if this is the correct group.
But can someone identify this font for me please. I have it in an old presentation but have searched my font library and cannot find it anywhere.
I need to resurrect it to match some previous work. I apologise for only being one word, but all the other instances where I have used it include proper nouns and peoples names, so not appropriate to publish on a forum.
Kind regards
Martin

Re: Can anyone name this font, please.
Hi Ben,
Many thanks for this. I have hundreds of fonts on my machine and for some reason this one disappeared and I spent ages going through all the fonts trying to find it. I need it as is is a good retro font that just suits a dance club I help to run.
Thanks again.
Kindest regards
Martin
Re: Can anyone name this font, please.
Betty Noir is a font originally designed by Nate Piekos, who has several free fonts out there, and this is one of several free fonts you can get, among others on his website, blambot.com. He also works in combination with Birtstream on web fonts. He's a small business we should patronize when possible. Most of his typefaces are for cartoon panels.
Might as well credit the author. :)

I thought Betty Noir was a Blambot font, and was under the impression that Nate Piekos authored all the Blambot fonts. Am I wrong?

You are right Keith, I screwed up, and revised my last post. Thanks for letting me know about this!
Blambot is located here
But Nick does make fonts like this, no?

His free typefaces are at FontSpace
And his comnmercial fonts, unlike the free ones from the past decade (!) are at Nick's home page
As an aside, I use Nexus Font to organize and view my collection, both in archives and ones installed. It's a free, and stylish UI with plenty of options, and I've made a donation to JungHoon Noh a long time ago. His stuff uniformly rocks.

Re: Can anyone name this font, please.
OG Bad link to Nick's Fonts. Can't remember but something bad happened to him, health or something. But great source of period fonts.
Re: Can anyone name this font, please.
Fixed it, thanks Og.
He wrote on his home page about what happened. Without specificity, his entire life crashed down around him 2 or 3 years ago. I bought a few fonts from him because part of it was a cashflow problem, but these are the last fonts anyone gets for free, unless he does a web font. He was seriously ripped off by thieves taking his free fonts, and then selling the collection on CD.
And yes, very tasty very appealing typefaces. I arranged for him to give away two fonts in the Xara Guide. Let me see if I can't provide a link, seeing as the book is out of print.

Og, you nutty, nutty designer. Read posts #6 and #8. Mr. Almond pointed out the error and I fixed it about an hour ago.
