Hi Graeme, I've missed your photos :) Are they volcano enhanced? Lovely shots.
Thanks John! :)
Funny you should mention the volcano - I waited days in anticipation of better sunsets but sadly nothing came of it. There was one day when the sky looked strangely yellow with a haze around the sun, glassy abrasive dust on cars everywhere!
John, I finished that Sunset Waltz photo slideshow/video and tune a short while back - attached. It was deceptively hard to get it all done - my first effort with a real video editing package :) Also, I start songs and rarely finish them!
Thanks Graeme! Trouble is I can't play it :o I'd like to see - and hear - it though so could you zip it and email it and I'll try again? zaphodeist [at] googlemail [dot] com
That abrasive dust sounds nasty, I was hoping it didn't get this far down.
Don't worry. Sorted it. Swapped browser, saved and converted file to flv.
Excellent video Graeme! And the music really fits the mood. Only thing - and this is not a criticism - is that you could linger on each image for much longer ... have to extend the audio then too of course, or play it twice! :)
Thanks for sharing it.:)
Oops - I didn't realise mp4 was going to be a troublesome file to play. Sorry about that! Here was me thinking I was lucky to get it below the 5Mb limit :)
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the feedback on the time each image is shown - I found it hard to judge given that I knew each image well but uncertain how long would be appropriate for a first time viewer. I've got a lot to learn about video presentation!
I think it was a QuickTime file. I have QT alternative only and it wouldn't play directly. No probs.
I'm no expert on video making either ... I just think your images deserve a little longer on screen :)
Beautiful shots Graeme. The first two look a little like the scenery has been turned to molten gold (sorry to wax poetic).
Regards
Su
Thank you Su!
I wish I'd been able go get the same scene without the bridge!
