Is there a comparison utility for .xar files?

Over the years I have accumulated hundreds of maps and other line drawing files (many with embedded graphics) on several computers. I have many duplicates and orphaned files in various stages of completion. I will appreciate any information on utilities that will do visual comparison of .xar files, or even those that will allow side-by-side comparison without having to import files into each other.

there is a XNView utility that may do what you desire.
