ALT-tagged images blocked by adblock
xara web design 17
Hello!
I entered the ALT tag and filename using the "web proprieties / image / Caption (Alt Text)" and "web proprieties / image / Image filename" function.
I have published the project.
Some images are blocked by adblock plus of my chrome browser and firefox also from other pc.
How can I solve the problem?
Thanks for the support.
Re: ALT-tagged images blocked by adblock
I guess the simplest solution is don't add captions. I think captions appear when you hover over a link or image, and so Adblock might see the pop up text is an advertisement.
Re: ALT-tagged images blocked by adblock
It will be the wording used. Possible as simple as ad+...
Always add Alt Text - it is essential for screen readers!

Re: ALT-tagged images blocked by adblock
it is not also important for accessability compliance ?
Re: ALT-tagged images blocked by adblock
Thanks for replying.
I found the problem.
I had inserted in the project page the text style heading 1, heading 2, heading 3, to manage the tags H1, H2, H3.
Apparently by doing so I was wrong.
Can you tell me where the H1, H2, H3 tags fit?

xara's Heading 1 is just a ClassName inside an H1 HTML tag that is generated by the Xara HTML Filter. Ditto for the H2 and H3 tags.
That is therefore the correct thing to do.
How have you discovered otherwise?

Re: ALT-tagged images blocked by adblock
How do you insert an H1 tag on the web page?
I have to enter for example: <h1> here is an example </h1> on "Web properties / page / HTML code (body)"?
Or should I insert it into the page as text with "heading 1" style?

The last way - use Heading 1.
For example, setting "This is a Heading 1 line" to Heading 1 results in:
Code:
<div class="xr_txt Heading_1 xr_s0" style="position: absolute; left: 168px; top: 51.35px; width: 261px; height: 25.65px;">
<h1 class="xr_tl Heading_1 xr_s0" style="top: 0px; margin: 0px;">This is a Heading 1 line</h1>
</div>
"Heading 1" itself is set as a Style so when you add colour, font and size, the H1 tag is still there.

Re: ALT-tagged images blocked by adblock
Thanks Acorn for your help.
I inserted the "heading 1", "caption (alt text)" and "image file name" attributes for perfect SEO.
But now Adblock of the chrome browser is blocking some elements of the site and I don't understand why.

Can you show exactly what you typed in?
