That's a great looking dragonfly, Rupert. Love the eyes.

    Two super clean illustrations, BP.

This is the project I'm working on at the moment. It's another "what if". The Armstrong Whitworth design was never built. It lost out to the other British V bombers in the 50's. I was interested to see what the flying wing design might have looked like if built. It's still a WIP and will be for a while. It'll be used in an illustration when completed.

Appreciate both your comments. Super work BP and Gray. With those drawings you are in a world on your own!

I'm not really doing any image right now but I was playing around with the bitmap tracer. I have not used it until now and wanted to see what it could do. This is a trace of a photograph I took at the EAA airshow 2009.

I added the bitmap trace wire frame too....and now I've added the original photo.

Interesting effect, Nancy. Almost gives it a painterly look.
I was accused at one site of using a bit map tracer for a piece of work I posted, even after I posted the wire frame line drawing and explained how it was drawn by hand. That was from a guy who was a teacher of Illustrator at college.

Nice work on that beautiful dragonfly Rupert! You really excelled yourself.
Very nice illustrations BP, I liked the colours in the vintage car and the laptop is very realistic.
I see you are still making magnificent planes Gray! What a lot of work in it...they are so good. Keep on doing what you do so well.
Great to see something done differently Burpee, I like the painterly look you've given your plane.

    best wishes
    Michele

Graham, the teacher was probably not used to seeing that amount of detail done by hand. You have to to get a realistic look. I'm not at that level yet. I was interested to see what the wireframe would look like and this posting of it is the first time I looked at it.

Thank you Michelle, I thought the painterly look has nice appeal too.

I am not happy with the drawing and will probably start from scratch and do this image over. But sometimes you have to get to this point to realize that it is not working as well as it might.
