Very beautiful and nice reflective surfaces.

nice one Sammy

this was originally done for the freehand frenzy challenge, but its been elevated to a 'serious' piece as work in progress, so here it goes...

barb stroke shape throughout

'artist at work in progress' even

I'm impressed with the amount of humor and expression you have in the image with a few lines. Well, maybe there's alot of lines but only a few shapes.

thank you Nancy

mostly lines as you say - shapes in the eyes

there are 355 lines in total - most milling around the body waiting for something to do - but its only a first take give 'em time

cartooning is shorthand - well it is the way I do it anyhow.... that's why for me the control of the pen is so important - no second chances with fast and free spontaneity - if you screw up you just has to play it again from the top and hope you don't go stale...at roundabout reshoot #23 that suddenly becomes difficult

Lol, I look forward to what those lines do when you give them the go-ahead

Thank you Bill, Burpee, Steve J

Steve J - I'll second what Burpee has already said. You have an excellent knack for providing expressions to your drawings with the minimum of strokes. The picture looks complete just with the expression. Great skill.

Sammy, I love the egg. And Steve's drawing is brilliant. This card is more or less finished, just needs a bit of tweaking.
