Flash attempt. Haven't got it right yet. Trying to figure out where I put the feathering, which is keeping the lock from showing.

Hi Bill, and everyone else,
I used to know someone who was allergic to wearing metals, she would come out in a rash. She had a watch made of wood - well, the casing, anyway. I wondered if a stone watch would have been practical. She'd have to change the buckle on the strap for a plastic one, though,
Saludos,
Bob.

Hi Ron,
that's very clever use of your avatar / logo. Smooth animation, I enjoyed this a lot.
Saludos,
Bob.

Thanks Bob,
I was going to post a flash file I just created, but I'm having trouble figuring out Egg's instructions on how to post it.
Like your watch, btw.

Ron!
It's gone! Please put it back, not just because I liked it, but every one will think I've lost my marbles (they probably already do).
I didn't imagine it, did I?!
Saludos,
Bob.

Hey Bob:
This looks great!
The answer to your wondering is yes. Certain stones like alabaster, jasper and a number of others would make good cases, each with their own issues as far as the case scratching, or cracking, etc. Would just require a very thorough working to shape the case to let the works fit into it.

Hey, Salaam, that looks really good. Not that I've seen bubblegum that looks like this! Back in my day it was Bazooka Joe Bubblegum, and packaged like boiled sweets.
This new style bubblegum looks like a cross between liquorice strips and rolls of insulation tape.
Still a jolly nice piece of work. Perhaps a mini tutorial on how it was done?
Saludos,
Bob.

Hello Bill,
Shouldn't this be a sticky thread?

By the way, how do you prefer to be addressed?... Bill or Soquilli?... being a member of the Taylor clan myself, I tend to think of you as Bill Taylor, but you may prefer otherwise...
Saludos,
Bob Taylor.
