Default Stop & Post June 2007

Another month has come and gone. Time to post an example of your current projects or drawings for June. Where does the time go so fast?

The little green guy is that colour from envy at seeing everyone's work

Maybe just the slightest tinge of green at your fine work and that of everyone else!
Decided to discover the joys and possibilities of interactive transparency today (courtesy of Workbook 59, thanks Gary!).

Default 2 photos in 1

This is a photo of the road between Castril and Huéscar in Granada province,
southern Spain. It has a feel of the Provence area of France. I made the photo frames and drop shadow in Xara, but I was stumped when wanting the desired effect, and had to import it into Paintshop Pro and select the inner frame, invert the selection and add a sepia tone. Any cleverclogs out there
who might know a way of achieving this completely within Xara?
Saludos,
Bob.

It can be done quite easily in Xara telling how is a lot harder I will need some time for my old brain to react.

Norman,
Thanks for posting this. Is that your garden? It's an absolute riot of colour.
The technique really shows it off very well.
Saludos,
Bob.

Take two copies of the same bitmap.

Reduce and rotate one.

Place it in the exact center of the first one.

Select the fill tool and adjust the "fill" handles to place them at the same location/size as the sepia bitmap.

Convert to editable shape. Apply a white border, make the corners a beveled join and increase the line width to about 8pts.

Select the back picture and make it a duotone by clicking a brown color on the color line. Right click on another color for the second color in the duotone.
