Default Art Imitates Art

I posted an image in the Stop and Post topic a week or so ago of a gallery show of my stereograms. The more I looked at that photo, the more I realized it wanted to be a stereogram of people looking at a stereogram.

The great thing about Xtreme is the ability to cut out images cleanly from a photo which is what I have done with the 3 persons and the lights. The picture I recreated and added a small shadow to place it on the wall.

Great depth. Looks as though I could walk into the image.

One of the best example of stereograms I ever seen.

Geo - the images are all photographs. It's the spacing between the figures that creates the illusion of depth.

yes, i understood that it was a photo... how it works, i dunno, but i copied the image and cropped down the the triptych of persons and the illusion disappeared. It does seem to have the greatest effect on those objects in the image that have, in real space, the greatest depth between them and the others.

anyway...

Awesome. It's like I'm one in the crowd.

Know what would be even wackier, is if the stereograms on the walls actually worked too. A stereogram within a stereogram?
